12th Anniversary Event Includes: One weekend tournament, skills competition and fan experience

BUFFALO, NY – Labatt Blue today announced details for the 12th annual Labatt Blue Buffalo Pond Hockey Tournament. The tournament will celebrate its twelfth year with a skills competition on Thursday, February 14, and game play running from Friday, February 15 to Sunday, February 17. Around 140 teams of four to seven players will once again face off at Buffalo RiverWorks entertainment complex in what’s become one of the most sought-after outdoor hockey tournaments in the region.

Like past years, fans can enjoy ice cold Labatt Blue and Labatt Blue Light while they watch the hockey action from inside and outside of Buffalo RiverWorks on six refrigerated ice rinks. The highly anticipated winter event will include Sabres alumni appearances, live music, games and plenty of food for players and spectators.

“The Labatt Blue Buffalo Pond Hockey tournament has become an iconic Western New York event,” said Michelle McKernan, associate brand manager, Labatt Blue. “We are looking forward to continuing the tradition of celebrating hockey, Buffalo and Labatt Blue with a full weekend of action and entertainment.”
