Buffalo Brings the Wings to Nashville Healthcare Workers
Labatt USA is thanking Nashville for hosting Bills fans this week by donating chicken wings to local healthcare workers
Buffalo, NY – Labatt USA will make a special Buffalo-style delivery in Nashville on Monday, October 18. Labatt plans to donate more than 800 orders of chicken wings to Nashville-based healthcare workers at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown and West locations. The delivery is a thank you to the city of Nashville for hosting Bills fans during the team’s game against Tennessee.
Dubbed Buffalo Brings the Wings, this unique donation is a continuation of a program Labatt USA launched in 2020, when the beer company donated nearly 100,000 chicken wings to front line workers across six core markets during the peak of the pandemic. Now, Labatt USA is expanding the program and connecting it to football season as its hometown team travels to different cities. This week’s Nashville delivery marks the first Bills-inspired chicken wing donation.
“Buffalo has the most passionate fans and we’re grateful that they make Labatt part of their gameday rituals at home and across the country,” said Inga Grote-Ebbs, Labatt USA brand director. “This season, we wanted to thank our away game host cities for their hospitality. What better way to give back to a community than to thank the people who keep it safe? We are excited to donate chicken wings to Nashville healthcare workers this upcoming gameday and root for our Bills on the road.”
As a staple of Buffalo tailgates, Labatt Blue and Blue Light follow Bills fans to away games throughout the season. The beers’ sales skyrocket in the host cities of Buffalo Bills away games each year as Buffalo fans travel to see their team across the country. Last year, Labatt sold roughly seven times more beer in away game markets when the Bills came to town. With Nashville being a popular destination city, Labatt expects a large turnout of Buffalo Bills and beer fans taking on Music City this week.
