ROCHESTER, NY (November 25, 2025) - Genesee Brewery is kicking off the holiday season with big news and an even bigger celebration. The Genesee Keg Tree has been voted Newsweek’s #1 Readers’ Choice Best Christmas Tree (announcement can be found here), and fans are invited to celebrate the win at the annual Keg Tree Lighting on Friday, December 5 from 5–9 p.m. at the Genesee Brew House (lighting at 7 p.m.).

Adding to the excitement, Genesee is debuting limited-time Keg Tree Donuts, a festive collaboration with Donuts Delite. These special treats—a honey bun donut infused with the brewery’s Keg Tree Cinnamon Ale—are available now through December 5 at both the Genesee Brew House (25 Cataract St.) and Donuts Delite (1700 Culver Rd.) and will also be served at the Keg Tree Lighting event. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Coalition.

“There are so many reasons to celebrate this year,” said Tiffany Bowman, Genesee Brand Manager. “From raising a glass to our Newsweek win to enjoying Donuts Delite’s Keg Tree Donuts, this event is a testament to the community and hard work that make the Keg Tree such a beloved Rochester tradition.”

As always, thousands of fans will gather to watch Genesee light up its stunning three-story Keg Tree—crafted from more than 650 empty kegs and wrapped in over 25,000 twinkling lights. Holiday music, great food, cold Genny beer, and free admission make this one of Rochester’s favorite seasonal traditions. (Please note: no pets allowed.)

Genesee Brew House brewmaster Dean Jones will emcee the event and lead the final countdown to the big moment.
